Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 1 or the stretch of roads including Jalan Tun Razak, Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar (Lebuhraya Mahameru), Jalan Damansara, Jalan Istana and Jalan Lapangan Terbang is an urban and municipal main ring road in Kuala Lumpur. It is also known as Kuala Lumpur-Petaling Jaya Traffic Dispersal Scheme by the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR). It is a busy ring road during rush hour time. Today this ring road is maintained by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur or Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL). ==History== Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 1 (KL MRR1) is the oldest ring road in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia, and was built during the British colonial era. Both parts of the Federal Road 2 are Jalan Klang Kuala Lumpur - FT2 and Jalan Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan FT2 can only be connected directly after completion of the Kuala Lumpur-Petaling Jaya Traffic Dispersal Scheme which is also connection for the MRR1 in 1983. The original name for Lebuhraya Mahameru (now Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar) was ''Swettenham Parkway'' before it was renamed as Lebuhraya Mahameru.
